We Went to the Zoo!

and it was 100 degrees outside! usually we go to things early - before the rush and before the heat. well, we were dragging our feet yesterday and decided late in the morning to go to the zoo as our last hoo-rah before school and work starts again. the kids loved it! they are so interested in the animals now instead of just running around. we went to the aquarium, the reptile house, looked at a lot of animals and finished the trip with a train ride around the park. despite the temperature, it was a very nice day.
