Happy 4th of July!

today has been a crazy day. first, we went swimming this morning and the boy cut his foot and had blood gushing on the way home. then, we came home and made some cookies. and by made, i mean we took them from the box and put them on the cookie sheet. when i was taking them out of the oven, i caught the dishtowel on fire.





then, my mom accidently dropped a bottle of sherry on the ceramic tile and chipped it. our house smells like sherry! (and deviled eggs.......a great combo!)

the kids have been driving me crazy and richard has been working a side job all day, but it is still nice to celebrate our nation's birthday and be thankful for all of our freedoms. maybe next year will be less eventful. next on tap: fireworks show tonite at 9. wish us luck.
