Wednesday

well i have been taking my diabetes medication for 2 days now and it's not as bad as i was told. i was told that i would have severe stomach pains and the poops and a metallic taste in my mouth and feel dizzy and nauseous.........and so far i only have the metallic taste which is really weird. it tastes like i was sucking on pennies. the range of my blood sugar readings has been from 199 to 354. anything under 140 and above 90 (i think) is considered normal, so i have a long way to go. on the first day i took my meds, by reading was 325, which totally freaked me out. this morning - 206!!!!!!!!!! one of my lowest reads!!!!!! i am still watching what i eat and incorporating more excersize into my day, but maybe this medication thing can help. i am NOT going to stay on it forever; i will lose the weight and get better. but, if this has to be my crutch for now, then i guess it's ok. for those of ya'll who know me, ya'll know that i tend to slightly overreact with new situations.........just a bit,..... ;-)

so, at daycare, my sister in law taught my kids to say grace before every meal. it is really cute to hear them say it.........the first few times. anytime they are going to take a bit of a different food, they say grace again. for example - if they are eating chicken, peas, and peaches they will say grace when they eat the chicken. then again when they eat the peas. then again..........i think you get it. and, of course, the boy has started changing the words around. i hope i am not offending anyone, but it just makes me laugh when he says this:

God is Great,
God is Good,
Let us thank Him for our food. Amen.

the boy's version:

God is toot,
God is toot,
Let us thank Him for our toots. A-toot.

that's my boy!

I'm glad the meds are helping now! It can be so hard to make changes. Especially ones like this.

That is HILARIOUS that he says the prayers that way. :) I've been told God has a sense of humor. ;)
