Progress

we have progress! we went to the house tonite and we now have doors, a painted garage door, a finished roof, a number plate, door and window frames, cabinets in our kitchen and bathrooms, and our banister around the stairs. it is amazing how just those things can really make it start looking like a real house! i am such a tactile-visual person, that i cannot imagine something until it is right in front of me. i have had a hard time visualizing what the finished product of this house is going to be, but it is slowly starting to show itself. this process has been really interesting to watch - now i know what the inside of a house looks like!

my friend and avid reader of my blog, kylene, was asking about the color of the siding. in the pictures it does look yellow, but it actually is beige (or macademia to be exact).

the sky has been so blue lately so i took advantage of it and got some awesome pics of the kids. they had a ton of fun running around the house today - i think they are going to be sad when we put furniture in it and they have less room to run in!

my smart, beautiful girl.

my handsome, sweet prince.

***a side note - for those of you who know the boy well, ya'll all know that he is a talker, like his mama, and that he likes to talk a thousand miles a minute which can make him hard to understand at times. today while the kids were playing, a little boy came up to him and said 'do you want to be my friend?' my boy (K) said 'sure!' and then proceeded to dive into a crazy story about the airplane falling down (madagascar 2) and the scare session being terminated (monsters, inc.). the little boy very nicely told my boy (K) "i'm sorry but i don't speak spanish". once i stopped laughing, i told him "he's not speaking spanish buddy, he is just talking really fast." without missing a beat, the little boy turned to my boy (K) and said "i'm sorry but i don't speak really fast". i almost peed my pants laughing.
