Happy Birthday Shorty Girl

yesterday was the big day! i was so tired that i didn't post these pics last nite (i was in bed by 930pm!). everyone seemed to have a really good time. i was particularly proud of how the cupcakes and cake came out. krysti and i used our creative minds and created some very cute cakes/cupcakes.

i am proud because i have no baking/decorating abilities to save my life. but, i am trying to be thrifty and make our own stuff, and it seemed to pay off.

the kids played outside in the backyard, ate lunch, ate cake, and then went home. only one casuality - kenzie got kicked in the head by her brother on the swing.







she had a great time opening her presents and she lucked out and got some really nice gifts. we are really spoiled by our friends and family when it comes to our kids.






shorty girl also LOVED her cake. she couldn't decide between eating her cake or eating a cupcake, so she just ate both. the boy liked them too!







overall, it was a great day.
