**there is no underlying message about daycare. i know people have to work and put their kids in daycare. i am not saying anything about that. this is just a personal thought i am sharing. **
i love being a stay at home mom. i love knowing that i am always here for my kids and i know what goes on every minute of their day. they grow up so fast, and i feel very blessed to be able to stay at home with them to raise them myself. i love the fact that if we want to - and we usually do - stay in our jammies all day, then we can. we take spur of the moment trips to walmart, the thrift store, or the park - things i couldn't do if i worked full time. we play in the backyard and take middle of the day bubble baths just because we can. we are able to join some of our (working) friends and family for lunch (and then laugh at them when they have to go back to work and we get to go home to take a nap. just kidding!) with that being said, i also love it when daddy comes home. i love being able to go to the bathroom by myself and actually closing the door. i love it when they start screaming 'daddy!!!!!' and not 'mama!!!!'. i do feel bad sometimes that richard has to come straight home from work and then get attacked by the little monsters, but he says he doesn't mind because he misses them when he is gone.
anyhoo, just some thoughts of the day.
by the way, for those of you who know my fear of storms.........Ike is FREAKING ME OUT! our pantry is stocked, we have enough batteries to last us a year, the cars are gassed up, and i am still trying to convince richard to go and buy a generator.
