whew! what a weekend! shorty's finalization and the boy's birthday party. it was super fast, but super fun. my whole family was able to make it down which made it extra special. i have a TON of pictures (and video thanks to todd!!) which i will post up soon, but just wanted to give ya'll a preview tonite.
the finalization went very well. there were a lot of other families adopting along with us - a total of 72 kids found forever homes!!! i had all of my friends and family with me which was awesome. shorty girl stole the show when we stood up to have our adoption aproved by the judge with her dazzling smile. after the ceremony, the kids got to eat cupcakes and juice (hello - sugar!) and then fell asleep in the car approximately 1.5 seconds after they were loaded up in their carseats. later that nite, we went to San Fransciso Steak House for dinner where all the kids (there were 8 in our group) got to swing on the big swing over the piano bar. overall, it was a very fun day.
the boy's party went off without a hitch! we were still a little pooped from the day before, but the kids had a great time playing in the backyard and eating cupcakes (which mom and i stayed up until after midnite making!!) . he got some really nice gifts and had fun spending time with friends and family.
that's all for now - the girls gymnasitcs are back on. these olympics are killing me! i am staying up waaaayyy to late!!!
