Let me try this again.......

i posted some pictures earlier today, but there was some type of error. so, here i go again.

we finally have some movement with shorty girl's adoption! we have the paperwork to get the actual adoption started, a meeting set with our new lawyer to fill out said paperwork - side note...........

i have filled a lot of paperwork in my life. a lot. for those of you who have ever bought a house and thought that was a lot of paperwork....well, for each adoption (remember, this is our 3rd time), imagine buying 3 houses at a time. and filling out all that paperwork times 3. it is alot. wow - i have said paperwork a lot. anyway, i know how to fill out paperwork. BUT, this adoption stuff through CPS??? confused off my ass. so, we set up an appointment to have our lawyer help us. her idea, not mine. but, a good one nonetheless.

anyway, we also have an appointment at CPS on monday to read shorty girl's casefile - the whole thing. another step we have to do before we can adopt her. we had a home visit with our new caseworker (our old one from the children's shelter left - i really liked her). he was very pleasant and seemed to know what he was talking about. so, after a month or so of nothing, now we have a lot to do! i can't wait! the tenative date for the finalization is august 15th - that's less than 2 months away! wow - time sure does fly.

so, that's what i have been doing. trying my best to fill out the (ahem) paperwork and keep all of our appointments straight. we leave next friday to head back up to my mom's house - so we are getting ready for that as well.
