well, kaenen is finally back to normal after the stomach bug. but, now he has strep. where in the hell did he get that? i have no idea. i think we caught it early because he was only down for 1 day. he is taking his meds like a big boy now - drinking it from the little medicine cup instead of a syringe!
we have a new caseworker from the children's shelter. apparently, our old caseworker no longer works there. sigh. it really doesn't matter too much - she never came out to visit with us and see shorty anyway!
i have a meeting at DFPS about shorty on thursday. i have no idea what it's about, but i am interested to go. we also have a court date on tuesday to talk to the judge about her current placement and our intent to adopt.
this week, we had our ECI person come out to work with shorty, our new caseworker from the children's shelter, and shorty's caseworker is supposed to come out today sometime. whew. that's a lot of people in our little house.
ps - these are roses in our front yard. we don't do anything but trim them back every once in a while. and every year, they come back!
