I hope everyone is having a wonderful day with their friends and family. As per usual, we had a bit of a different holiday. We made a big breakfast (sausage balls, bacon, egg, and cheese caserole, sausage busicuts, muffins, and fruit) and my mother and father in law came over to enjoy the feast. Then, Kaenen, my mom and I all went to the zoo where it was COLD! But, it wasn't crowded, so we all had a great time. When Richard gets off work, we are going out to eat at Ryan's for our turkey dinner. Then home to bed to get ready for shopping!!!!! Jami is meeting us at 430am at Toys 'r Us and then we are going to hit target. Last year we got great deals, and I am hoping this year is the same!
Another blogger wrote a Top 10 List of what she is thankful for, and I thought it was a great idea. So, here I go.
1. My family - an extremely patient and loving husband and the best damn baby boy in the world.
2. My mom, who was able to come and visit us this year.
3. My friends - through hell and high water we have made it 13+ years. I couldn't get through life without ya'll.
4. Richard's financial ability - how someone can manage all of our bills, and our huge mountain of adoption debt on one and a half salaries is beyond me. but, he does it every year and I am EXTREMELY thankful for that.
5. Being able to stay home with Kaenen to see him grow and learn every day.
6. My In-Laws - without them, a lot of what he have would not be possible. They are always there for us and I am eternally greatful for them.
7. Kaenen's smile. That little boy means more to me than I think he will ever know. My life only works when he is in it.
8. My dad and my brothers - they are the best Uncle's and VoVo a boy could ask for.
9. Cold Weather - it is finally here in Texas!
10. Health, Happiness, and Love - all of which we have.
This is no particular order, just things I am thankful for. Sounds kinda cheezy, but it is good to look at all the things you HAVE in live and not just what you don't. Happy Holidays.
